Roof Fundraising Campaign for Habitat for Humanity Barry County

On June 16th, a powerful storm swept through Hastings, causing significant damage to the Habitat for Humanity Barry County building. The storm's fierce winds and heavy rain caused debris to clog the drainage system and pool on the aged roof, resulting in extensive leaks throughout the facility. The administrative offices suffered the greatest damage, though the Hastings ReStore also had flooding.

The Urgent Need

The immediate cost to repair the roof is estimated at $10,000. However, due to the roof's age and deteriorating condition, contractors have strongly recommended a complete replacement. The cost for a new roof is approximately $150,000, a substantial expense that poses a significant challenge for our organization.
